The concept
So much of my work lives in real places, guided by whatever light and weather the day brings. For this project, I wanted the opposite: a blank studio, where every glow and every shadow could be built by hand.

Hair and make-up
The beauty look was central to the whole story. I wanted skin that looked lit from within: luminous, dewy and fresh, with a soft glow catching the cheekbones, collarbones and shoulders. Nothing heavy, nothing matte. Just skin that looked alive under the light. The hair was styled to match. Loose red curls with a wet-look finish, as though she had just stepped out of the rain or the sea. That sense of freshness tied everything together, so the glossy skin and damp curls felt like one considered look rather than two separate choices.

The craft
Everything you see was created in camera. Haze filled the studio so the light had something to hold onto, turning a single lamp into a glow and a backdrop into a cloud. Filters in front of the lens softened every edge, blooming the highlights and giving skin and lace a gentle halo. In some frames, I let movement in on purpose, allowing light to trail and blur across the image. It was a reminder that not every photograph needs to be perfectly still to feel true. Sometimes the feeling lives in the blur.
